Welcome, friends.
Thanks for visiting. I am here to say, don't give up on your dreams!
After ten long years, I'm excited to share my labor of love, Landslide, with you. I hope it resonates with you and inspires you on your own journey.
COMING MARCH 2026

Maggie's husband is in a coma. She doesn't know if she can make it on her own and neither do her adult children. But when she overhears a conversation between her daughter and daugter-in-law she knows it's time to step up.

MY STORY
When I was young, my close friend and neighbor, Karen, would visit me. After playing outside, she would often ask what I wanted to do next. "We could read," I would reply optimistically.
I never found out if she was interested. Karen always had to go home right after my suggestion.
FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:
-
My first job was at a book store!
-
I am a self-proclaimed nomad. My husband and I have our own version of the seven-year-itch. We have moved seventeen times in nine different states. (Btw, we lived in the exact downtown neighborhood of Lake Geneva where Landslide takes place.)
-
I am a lefty. I don't mean just left-handed. The whole left side of my body is dominant over the right.
-
I have a music room full of instruments I play: the piano, folk harp, bowed psaltery, dulcimer, and hammered dulcimer. The list goes on, including a ukelin, which is a cross between a psaltery and a zither.
-
I have two adult children. My daughter may or may not be like the daughter in my story, Landslide. My son, on the other hand, is (thankfully) nothing like the son in the book.
-
I have a mini Aussiedoodle named Angus. He is a handful. I'm told it is because I am grandparenting him instead of parenting him. I'm going to plead the fifth.

Discussion Questions

Landslide is written in two timelines. How did this technique affect your connection to the characters and your reading experience?
-
Maggie and Lynnette have been neighbors for ten years. Why didn't their close friendship blossom before Sully's accident?
-
Maggie's long-time friend, Pam, has not liked Sully from the beginning. Does she have Maggie's best interest at heart or is she jealous?
-
Sully is both controlling and caring. Is he more controlling or more caring?
-
Sully had a lot of trauma in his life when he was young. Does understanding how Sully got to be the way he is make his controlling side more acceptable?
6. Maggie found writing Sully letters late at night cathartic. Do you think those letters influenced the outcome of their relationship? Could things have ended differently had she not written them?
7. Maggie is over-the-moon when Sully wakes up from his coma. How does Sully's reaction to all the changes influence her going forward?
8. Sully does not react well to all the changes that took place while he was in a coma. Is he justified in his reaction or not?
